DPRK Team Wins Men's Soccer Matches of 6th East Asian Games
Pyongyang, October 15 (KCNA) -- The DPRK team won the men's soccer matches of the 6th East Asian Games. It enjoyed 3:0 lead in around 45, 51 and 63 minutes in Monday's match with the Chinese team. It placed first in the men's soccer matches with the total of 10 points.
DPRK Table-tennis Players Win in Mixed Doubles
Pyongyang, October 12 (KCNA) -- DPRK table-tennis players Kim Hyok Bong and Kim Jong bagged gold medals in the mixed doubles at the 6th East Asian Games. They beat the south Korean team 3:1 in 16 superstar tournament, the Japanese team 3:2 in quarterfinals, the Chinese team 4:3 in the semi-finals and advanced into the final. At the fierce and close final game with the south Korean players on Friday the DPRK's pair defeated the rivals 4:3, winning the first place.
DPRK Women's Football Team Placed First at East Asian Games
Pyongyang, October 12 (KCNA) -- The DPRK women's football team came top at the 6th East Asian Games in Tianjin, China. The team beat Chinese and China's Taipei teams before having a match with the Japanese team on Friday. The DPRK team succeeded in scoring two goals in about 27 and 39 minutes, thus placing first in women's football matches at the Games.
